It seems like every day there is a new health craze or diet that promises to help you lose weight, be healthier, and live longer. The latest trend in the world of nutrition is grass fed beef. But what exactly does this mean? Grass fed beef is cows that are raised on pasture for their entire lives until they are slaughtered. This type of cattle has been shown to have lower levels of saturated fats, higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, and more CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) than conventional feedlot beef which means it may provide some benefits to your health!

Grass fed beef is different from pasture-raised cattle in that the animals are still fattened up on grains before they are slaughtered. This type of cow may not have nearly as many health benefits when compared to grass finished beef because the animal has typically spent more time being exposed to antibiotics, growth hormones, and other chemicals which can be harmful. However, this does not mean you should give up your favorite steak! You just need to make sure it comes from a reputable source that uses humane farming practices and organic ingredients if possible.
One way to increase your intake of healthy fats, vitamins A and E, omega-3s, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and beta-carotene is by eating buffalo skirt steak. Grass Fed Beef can provide a wide array of benefits for our bodies including lowering risk factors for cancer, diabetes, obesity, and heart disease while also improving mood and energy levels. When you’ve had enough research on the pros and cons of this food choice it may be time to start making some changes in order to get more from what we eat.
